Laura Kemp – Jai’s Story Part 1
Jai’s Story Part I.
Kieran’s Part 1 of Jai Ram’s story shares the journey through one of the most difficult times a parent can face; the death of their son. But don’t be fooled into expecting a tale of struggle and darkness. Kierans deep and extensive yoga practice allowed him to be a beacon of the fullest love, light and compassion that exposes the possibility of a wholly different way to navigate the hardest of times. This story has not only been a beautiful and joyful book that I would look forward to pick up daily, it became an inspiring and revolutionary example of how I could also face grief with tender love and an open heart.
Brendan Mulhall
“Jai’s story has woven together the strands of the tragic sudden death of a beautiful 8 year old boy, the process of coping with the deep grieving associated with death and dying and the wisdom of the ancient spiritual traditions. These strands have created a colourful healing rug that not only allows grief to move through to a level of acceptance, but also allows the grieving to touch the essential qualities of our true nature, pure love.”

Kieran thank you very much for being my Yoga guru. Your teachings have had a profound effect in my life in ways that words that cannot describe it. I am grateful for your teachings every day.
The saying, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear”. This is how you appeared in my life, having the biggest influence at a personal level and towards my Navy Hindu Chaplaincy training. Whenever I’m conflicted, lost, or anxious, the knowledge, Kieran shared during yoga teacher training appears like a beacon of light. His teachings have profoundly affected my life, and no words can justify its impact. Now, I can ride life’s high and low waves like a proficient surfer. Thank you dear Kieran for being my yoga teacher.

Jai’s Story Part 2
This book takes the reader on a virtual pilgrimage to places and people in India with great spiritual power. We learn about the extraordinary lives of renowned yogis and have the opportunity to take their profound teachings to heart. The story is uplifting, as simply reading about sacred places and enlightened beings can shift our state to one of greater connection, joy and love. It is also poignant, as the journey is taken on behalf of Kieran’s deceased son Jairam. Time and again the story reminded me that “Love is more powerful than death”.

Kieran as a life coach, yoga teacher and meditation teacher
Yoga and meditation are at the core of Kieran’s personal and professional lives. As such, he brings the fruit of his own study and practice to yoga and meditation classes and life coaching. He also draws on the wisdom of those rare individuals who fully imbibe the essence of yogic or other spiritual traditions.
I’ve had the good fortune to benefit from Kieran’s coaching during difficult times. During our sessions I felt very much heard and understood. He offered me helpful reframing of the issues I was dealing with, as well as practical suggestions. His deep understanding of the ways in which life operates, and how we influence our experience of life, was invaluable. I always left our time together with more clarity, calm and confidence.
Kieran’s teaching of yoga and meditation is well structured and meets the unique needs of each person. He brings a lightness of spirit to his classes which imbues moments of peaceful inner focus as well as times of laughter and connection with others.

Jai’s Story – Part 1
This is a beautiful story of a father’s deep love for his son, which continues to grow after his sudden and accidental death. Woven around the emergency situation as it unfolds, we are lead through Kieran’s own personal story to provide insight into what has shaped him and help us understand his own world view – that his relationship with his son continues.
I found this story helped me reflect on my own life, to identify key life experiences that have shaped me and my response patterns. I recommend this book for anyone on the life journey, who is keen to learn and grow and open to enquiry and reflection about who we are.

Jai’s Story – Part 2
This is a great read for anybody interested in spiritual India and the synchronicity of life. As Kieran and his eldest son, Shankara, embark on an amazing pilgrimage to India in honour of Jairam, we are introduced to some interesting and unexpected characters. Kieran’s telling of his adventures helps us let go of the boundaries of life as we know them, inviting us to open-up to new possibilities. As they wind their way through India, in many cases just following their nose for adventure, we are a witness to a father’s journey to process the loss of his son, finding solace in understanding the interconnectedness of life and how it all works on a deeper, subtler level. This is a wonderful contemporary yogi story.

Kieran O’Callaghan is a gifted personal coach. I found him to have incredible listening skills, which he combined with his keen intuition, knowledge and experience to help me find practical ways to move forward in challenging life situations, including in the workplace. His support to implement strategies has been invaluable.
I highly recommend him to anybody seeking help to understand how life works, discover what they really want in their life, find workable solutions to relationship issues, process grief or loss, or implement lasting changes in their life.

I first started seeing Kieran several years ago to help me get through a very difficult period of my life . Kieran’s advice, insight , patience and care helped me through my challenges. But my time with him also opened up a door to greater possibilities and evolution.
Overtime Kieran has become a mentor and guide to me – a teacher who genuinely cares and is committed to helping me grow through my journey . Even more than this, Kieran has become a friend whose love and kindness enriches my life.

I feel like I’ve got really good framework on how to actually help somebody else if I am to become a yoga teacher and support them on their journey.
I feel so grateful to have Kieran in my life. As a Life coach and Yoga teacher he has been incredibly supportive. Although I am a committed Buddhist I have learnt and grown through his insights and teachings. It has also helped me better serve and support clients in my psychology practice.

Another gift of rich learning and healing. Over the three days I was reminded why I was originally drawn to InSync, the deeper learning of Yoga, and it’s beautiful framework. I really felt so supported and blessed by such a lovely bunch of people, who really enriched my learning experience, how lucky to have been part of this group.

“I can’t overstate how important the InSync online connection has become for me during this strange period of isolation and discombobulation! I’m not an experienced yogi, just a plodder who muddles her way through class. But over the past couple of weeks, I’ve really needed to move more than ever before, given the huge amount of desk and couch sitting I’m now doing while in-home isolation! I’ve quickly grown to love that very special online yoga hook-up that isn’t another long-drawn-out zoom work meeting, in which I have to sit really still. Instead, the online classes get me moving, stretching, rocking, rolling, and breathing in a way my body so desperately needs. But most of all, there is just something very special and comforting about seeing the teachers we love and admire turning up in the studio – for us.
To help us all through. I’m extremely grateful for this.
The fact that it is live streaming in real-time – gives the class and the experience of participating a powerful energy. The real-time schedule also helps give some structure to my day.
My yoga class has become somewhere important I have to ‘be’… that is there waiting for me.
Even just having an ‘appointment’ like that seems to help normalise what is a very abnormal life at the moment. And it’s wonderful to see the other students turn up too.
Our collective camera angles are all over the place and I’m sure some of you have seen the cobwebs on my ceiling!
But I am so grateful to each and everyone of you for joining in too. Building a sense of community right now feels like a powerful and enriching thing to do. Funny thing is, I didn’t really expect online yoga to work well for me. I thought it might feel a bit oddball. But now I’m a hooked devotee!
Thank you so much, Kieran and Nandini for trying so hard to make this work and taking that extra stretch to bring it to life. Both of you and all the wonderful teachers you’ve gathered at InSync serve us all so very beautifully.
I really can’t thank you enough. With my deep appreciation”

Love it, the familiarity of having our regular teachers, regular times and regular class mates all online , makes it feel normal in this world of instability at the moment.

The learning is done in a very natural way. It’s not like memorising a textbook. It’s quite fluid and natural to actually take on the learning.
Sam Williams
It’s a lot more connected and freer in a sense that there is more room to play. There is more room to connect with other people. There’s just really more freedom.
Jane Cribb
This program is sensitive to people’s needs, flexible and fun. There is an element of play. The possibility is just vast and endless.
Olivia Anderson
The learning has been extensive. In particular learning the true essence of yoga – being so much more than a physical practice but rather a whole way of being; the 8 limbs of yoga. I particularly enjoyed the study of the Yamas & Niyamas and Pranayama.
Safia
I really enjoyed the culture of sharing. It made me comfortable to share my own experiences and thoughts. I was quite at ease mentally and physically during these three days.

Thank you for teaching me about the joys of meditation, connecting with our inner and higher levels of consciousness and Atman to bring peace, joy and creativity in our daily life. My joy, love and gratitude are beyond words! May many more people learn from this wisdom and be awakened in our true nature.
Emma Livissianis
I have deepened my knowledge of physical and energetic anatomy. I also have a better understanding of how to use asana to treat various physical and emotional conditions.

When I first enrolled in this course I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to teach yoga. I just wanted to learn more for myself. However, I soon became very inspired by the content, the teachers, and the great yoga wisdom. Funnily enough I have ended up teaching heaps of yoga. I am very grateful for InSyncBML for offering such a great course. I am still in contact with the other students, some of whom have become great friends. It really helped that I could take as long as I needed with some of the modules. The quality of the materials and contact models was very high. Don’t hesitate to enrol if you are at all interested in learning to teach yoga.
Jennah Robichaud
In the yoga teacher training in particular, there’s so much knowledge and experience even from Kieran’s own journey. He’s so willing to share and give to others, to help them on their journey whatever that might be, to feel more connected with their lives. It’s not one way. It’s about helping each individual person. It’s such a beautiful gift that I feel lucky to be a part of.
Louise Baker

Kieran’s teachings were engaging, relevant and gratifying. I loved listening to his thoughts and the way he sees things. I really appreciate the support he gave us throughout the workshop and that he included all of us equally. At the end of the workshop I truly felt like everyone was family.
